Story-Plot Dealer's Choice

The intentions of the main character, a young woman, are to just leave the comfort and safety of her bedroom to go out in to the dark and cold common area of her room to make a sandwich and watch some T.V. While drawing jack-o-lanterns in a sketchbook, the girl gets up and leaves her room heading for the kitchen. Already feeling uneasy and a bit spooked in her lonesomeness in a drafty, dark dorm, she makes her way to the fridge. Emphasis is put on the jack-o-lantern, tools, and gloves set on the counter. She has the feeling that something unseen is right behind her back as she makes a sandwich. At first without her knowing, strange activity begins to happen such as the carved pumpkin and inanimate objects moving on their own then stopping as she looks in their direction. This sense of weird activity happening behind her back makes the character more nervous. After her sandwich is made, character sits down and is about to turn on the television then she goes back to the fridge for a drink. When she sits back down in her previous seat and finds the remote to have moved across the room. Flustered and confused, she gets up to grab the remote. Before she even touches the device it turns on the T.V. itself to a fuzzy channel. The girl is spooked by this and sits back down to continue eating. As she eats, the channels keep turning themselves. Puzzled, she looks around a vast dark, room trying to figure out what is going on. Once again, paranormal activity occurs behinds her back, yet this time she catches it in action. Appliances in the kitchen start to go off by them selves and a jack-o-lantern on the counter stares off at her, while a pair of gloves near the pumpkin begin to crawl near her. Frightened to death, she throws are sandwich down, and makes a run for it while the paranormal activity intensifies and climaxes. She then makes it to her room, feeling that she is now safe, she decides to go to bed, not knowing that the gloves are creeping under her door. 1. After writing this, this story makes me believe that the jack-o-lantern is taking revenge on the girl that carved out his face.
